1: Submitter Details

By submitting this form to the World Service Office, your group agrees to:

  • comply with Tradition Three and the OA Bylaws, Subpart B, Article V (below); and
  • have submitted data processed in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable. See the full Privacy Policy.

TRADITION THREE
The only requirement for OA membership is a desire to stop eating compulsively.

Section 1 – Definition
These points define an Overeaters Anonymous group:

  • As a group, they meet to practice the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Overeaters Anonymous, guided by the Twelve Concepts of OA Service.
  • All who have the desire to stop eating compulsively are welcome in the group.
  • No member is required to practice any actions in order to remain a member or to have a voice (share at a meeting).
  • As a group they have no affiliation other than Overeaters Anonymous.
  • It has affiliated as an Overeaters Anonymous group by registering with the World Service Office.

Section 2 – Composition
A group may be formed as set forth in Article V, Section 1 by two or more persons meeting together, either:

  • in the same physical location (land-based);
  • through some form of electronic device (virtual); or
  • both (hybrid).

2: Meeting Settings

Country is required for all meetings. A country helps members find meetings in their region and supports accurate routing and reporting, which helps us provide better support and communication for your meeting.

Face-to-Face meeting location information

Enter the building name or facility where the meeting is held. Avoid including any other meeting information here.

Enter the primary street address. Do not add room or floor details here.

Use for suite, floor, or room numbers only.

Provide simple directions to help attendees find the meeting room once they arrive (e.g., “Use the side entrance, then take the elevator to the 2nd floor”). Don’t include meeting descriptions or special notes.

Instructions for joining

If selected, this note will be shown publicly on the meeting listing. Use it to let attendees know whether they should contact the meeting before attending in person. Clear selection.
