English-language Castle Retreat - Germany

The Bacharach Retreat is an English-language OA retreat that has been held for 30 years in the medieval Castle Stahleck, which overlooks the most beautiful part of the Rhine River in Germany.  It is a magical retreat: There are always lots of OA fellows and many sponsor/sponsee contacts are made here. Meetings are held in the old Knights Room, and the weekend is filled with meetings, silent walks, meditation, yoga, and a Saturday evening dance. It is the most well known retreat in Europe, and we invite people from all over the world to join us. Don’t miss out!

Transportation by train is easy—there is a train station in Bacharach and then a 15-minute hike up to the castle. There will also be OA fellows available to pick you up at the station if needed.

OA members can enjoy affordable sleeping accommodations in the castle.
