Logo Blanket Permission Has Been Expanded and Reprint Requests Limited

OA’s Logo Request Form (PDF or DOCX) and Reprint Request Form have both been carefully revised to reflect the current practices and policies of OA. If your group or service body plans to request permission to modify and use our OA trademarks or to reprint OA literature, please download these new forms and submit them to info@oa.org. If you send an older form, you will be redirected to fill out the new form.

Expanded Blanket Permission

The updated Logo Request Form includes the new, lengthier definition of blanket permission for service bodies, which now reads as follows:

“You may apply for blanket privilege if you are applying on behalf of an officially registered service body and your service body intends to use your customized trademark on flyers; posters; billboards; bus/transportation posters; banners for public/professional outreach and/or at service body assemblies; newsletters; meeting lists; business cards; stationery; service body’s bylaws, summary of purpose, and/or procedures manual; websites; and social media sites.”

Reprint Request Limits

The updated Reprint Request Form reflects the recently approved reprint limits, which read as follows:

“Please be reminded that, per request and purpose, permission to reprint will be granted for no more than:

  • two pieces of OA literature,
  • two quotes from each of the two pieces of literature, and
  • two paragraphs per quote. Exception: If quoting from our daily readers (For Today and Voices of Recovery), two full entries for two dates may be reprinted, i.e., ‘March 17’ and ‘December 22.’”
